SPELLDANCE SKILLSET - Archeage Unchained - My Build , Gear and Gameplay

Updated: Dec 2, 2023

As of 2nd of December 2021 Kakao has taken over Archeage and Archeage Unchained from Gamigo.

Archeage Unchained has now been converted from a B2P to a subscription model which has frustrated a lot of people.

They provided 30 free days as a trial start, and a handfull of more days if you have purchased the game plus its expansions.

They have removed any P2W aspect from the cash shop (to my knowledge atleast), made some revamps , added a new dungeon , a new skillset and many more to come hopefully.

There are so many guides out there for everything really but in this article i will talk about the class i started with with the new skillset ,my gear, attributes and gameplay.

SPELLDANCE SKILLSET

''Let’s dance, for fear your grace should fall! More content is on its way to ArcheAge and ArcheAge: Unchained: starting from December 2, we will begin to honor Naima’s death by introducing a new skillset, named Spelldance!

About 2000 years before the start of ArcheAge, during the Hidden Era, twelve expedition members came together in the capital city of Auroria to start a journey which eventually led to their own demise. The first one to fall was Naima, a skilled dancer from the Misac Tribe.

Spelldance is based on Naima’s graceful dances, which exude healing powers on the battlefield. The skillset uses unique skill stacks called Happy and Sorrow. Using skills to buff allies will increase your Happy stats, and using skills that are harmful to enemies will increase your Sorrow stats. The stacks you gain will affect the effectiveness of your skills.''

The spelldance skillset is a support one (healing) . It goes well with many other skills however i started as a War Dancer which then switched to Glamorous Savior (Spelldance/Vitalism/Songcraft)

SKILL TREE

The build i have as of now is the below (subject to change) :

I will update it for Ancestrals levels later as i am at AL 12 now, got some way to go still.

The above class has a lot of healing abilities plus the songs from the last tree (songcract) which benefit a party/raid.

I wont go in many details about each individual ability, just that its a decent healing spec and i like it. As i said before its subject to change, depending on the situation.

GEAR

In regards to what gear you should use i would suggest Cloth.

Cloth armor has low Physical Defense base values, but high Magical Defense base values.

Bonuses

  • Cloth 4/7: Cast time is reduced by 4%. Chance to interrupt casting when hit by an enemy is reduced by 50%.

  • Cloth 7/7: Cast time is reduced by 4%. Chance to interrupt casting when hit by an enemy is reduced by 50%. Magical damage is increased by 5%. The duration of the effects of control is reduced by 30%.

Strengths & Weaknesses

  • Weak against Slashing / Normal against Blunt / Strong against Piercing

As far as weapons go you need a club and shield.

A shield increases either your Physical or Magic Defence and Max Health.

A club increases healing power.

Attributes

As a healer your primary stat is Spirit.

Spirit increases:

- Healing Power

- Mana Regeneration

- Magic Accuracy

- Critical Heal Rate

The rest of the stats on gear can be Cast Time, Critical Heal Rate , Resilience, Max Health, Toughness and/or receive less magic/physical damage.

If you dont get spirit as the primary stat you can salvage the gear and upgrade it again or just reroll the stat.
